Written March 29th 2018 Still on the Book of Exodus. After Moses ran away from Egypt and settled in Midian, he became a shepherd — a total opposite of how he was brought up and what he was in Egypt but the very thing majority of the Isrealites were. (The Egyptians saw sheep herding as menial work and an abomination) In Egypt, Moses was treated like a prince, he wore the best clothes and ate the best foods but in Midian, he had to work for a living and do everything himself. He had to live like the Isrealites to properly understand them and relate with them in order to lead them. God was preparing him for leadership at this stage. Leaders do not just appear, they need to be developed.
